What is the ROCKY MOUNTAIN GOLD Program? The program is simple. Rocky Mountain Gold Cash Certificates are just like gift certificates. But rather than only using the certificate at one business, you can use it at scores (soon hundreds) of businesses in the region. And not only are the certificates good at multiple businesses, but you are able to purchase them at a 40% discount off the face value of the certificate. In other words, buy a $50 certificate for $30, $20 certificate for $12, a $10 certificate for $6, or a $5 certificate for $3—and spend it at any of our participating businesses as the full face amount. The certificates spend virtually like cash with only a few minor restrictions. Use them for: Gifts, employee perks, rewards, thank you gifts, customer appreciation gifts, fundraising, or, best of all, for your own benefit. Can you think of a single gift that will go further? When you give it, the recipient gets full value, and you pay only a fraction of its value. What a great "atta boy" or reward for valued employees. They're perfect stocking stuffers for the holidays, or birthday gift. Now you can afford to dine out more, make your shopping dollar go further, or get those services you've been putting off till you can afford it. |

| How does it work?
It’s really very simple. If we accept a business into the program, certificates are issued against the total amount agreed upon in denominations of $5, $10, $20 and $50. You purchase those certificates at a discount of 40%. The merchant accepts the certificates as cash at face value. There are some restrictions we place on the use of the certificates. The amount that a business agrees to accept is generally enough to keep them in the program for a while. It's important to note that there is a limit to the amount that any business agrees to accept. There is, however, a minumum amount a business must agree to accept before we are willing to place them in the program. That minimum is adequate to keep them in the program for several months. If you see businesses on the list you would like to visit, do it now. They may not be on the list in the future. We are constantly adding new businesses, and renewing old ones as they reach their commitment. Why do businesses participate? Most importantly, they want you to try their business. They are confident that once you try them, they will keep you as a customer. They also receive a significant amount of marketing and advertising as a benefit of being in the program. Each merchant does have a limit to the amount they will accept, and once that limit is reached, they will no longer accept the certificates until they get an opportunity to renew in the program. Our weekly hotsheet tells you which businesses are accepting the certificates at the moment. Aren't these just coupons? Absolutely not. With certain (and rare) exceptions, you can pay for your entire purchase with your Rocky Mountain Gold certificates. Also, with rare exceptions, you are not limited to what you can purchase from the merchant or when you can purchase it. For all practical purposes, Rocky Mountain Gold Certificates spend like cash. But you are getting a 40% discount from the merchant before you ever walk through their door. |
